God Performs His Word
“None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord GOD." (Ezekiel 12:28)
God performs His Word and is faithful to fulfill all He has spoken in His designated time. That’s why praying the Word of God is so powerful. Prayers are often limited by our earthly knowledge and selfish desires. Comfort and personal safety tend to dominate most of our prayer time. However, “Your Kingdom come; Your will be done” is how Jesus taught us to pray especially when we are not sure how things should be while ooking beyond our personal desire.
We can only successfully pray when we pray according to the will of God in the manner that Daniel prayed (Daniel 9:2-3). Man’s wisdom and intellect have never been a substitute for God’s direction, so until we have the correct understanding, we can pray errantly.
At times, prophecy is NOT favorable. For instance, God judged and dispersed Israel for their sins, as recorded by the prophet Ezekiel (chapter 12). We have history to prove fulfillment. In fact, the Jews were so scattered and the Land was so deplorable that few believed the Bible actually meant God would re-gather His people back into their Land (i.e. Ez. 36:24). Hence, replacement theology was birthed as early as the 2nd century. Such poor elucidation placed the Church as the “new Israel,” or the “spiritual Israel.” But, the Bible is clear: the remnant of the Jewish people was never eternally cast away. God spoke the return and restoration into existence before their exile! The point is that people believed according to what they saw and not according to what the Word of God declared. How much deception could have been avoided if the church had prayed according to scripture regardless of present circumstance?
We know we are in the end-times because of Israel being in the Land. Next to happen may be the Psalm 83 war (see also Isaiah chapter 17). Not far from that will be a one-world leader who comes to bring false peace and make a covenant with Israel, which he will break. He, the anti-Christ, will deceive many. If we are to take the Bible seriously, a terrible time is ahead. How do we pray about this?
We are told not to fear (Luke 21:28). God will unfold His plan to bring about a lasting Kingdom that is eternal and free from evil. Sounds like a fairy tale or Greek mythology, but it is His Word, which we can take very seriously. Fearlessly learn what the Bible says about future events toward Israel and the nations. God’s outcome is His Kingdom established on earth and the annihilation of evil—a new Heaven and a new earth. Know what His Word says regarding His care for you. Know Him, and His ways. He is trustworthy.
The times and seasons are made known.
“Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. … you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. …God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, … Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it” (1Th 5:1, 4, 9, 23-24, ESV).
“I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”
