More than ever before, Israel needs our intercession in the spiritual battle, so we can call upon the God of Israel to protect, strengthen, and bring true shalom to His people and His land. I’ve listed scripture verses below.
I asked AI to calculate the percentage of time Israel has been ‘at peace’ compared to in war or under the threat of war. Since we have been in Israel a lot and felt totally at peace, I was surprised at the answer. According to AI, the percentage of time Israel has enjoyed peace (without conflict, sustained violence, or an imminent threat) is only 10-20% of its modern existence.
Since Israel’s miraculous rebirth as a sovereign nation on May 14, 1948—a divine fulfillment of ancient biblical prophecies, such as Ezekiel 37 and Isaiah 11, in which the dry bones of the Jewish people came together in their ancestral homeland (the most profound end-time sign), the tiny Jewish state has rarely known true peace. Surrounded by hostile neighbors, her enemies have repeatedly sought to destroy what God has sovereignly restored.
In the nearly 78 years of statehood, Israel has fought more than 10 major wars, with two still raging today:
• The 2026 Iran war (escalating since February 2026)
• The ongoing Israel-Hamas War (since October 2023)
• War of Independence (1948–49)
• The Suez Crisis (1956)
• The Six-Day War (1967)
• War of Attrition (1967–70)
• Yom Kippur War (1973)
• First Lebanon War (1982)
• Second Lebanon War (2006)
• Several intense Gaza operations (2008–09, 2012, 2014, 2021, 2023)
This list does not even encompass the smaller military operations, the two devastating Intifadas (First: 1987–1993; Second: 2000–2005), or the countless brief escalations, rocket barrages, terror attacks, and border clashes that have marked every decade.
The left sharply disagrees with the U.S. helping disarm a very deceptive and dangerous enemy. They do not realize the Islamic agenda that plans a world takeover. Iran imprisons, tortures, and kills its Christians. Some report nearly 10 million Christians (and growing). A young Christian athlete was recently hanged in the streets of Iran (Fox News). Pray for the Christian community of Iran (Elam/Persia).
“I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD. But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the LORD” (Jeremiah 49:38-39 KJV).
According to your eschatological view, it may not be now, but it will be soon. This war may possibly set the stage for another temporary peace before the Ezekiel 38 war.
History has shown time and again that peace agreements in the Middle East have been mere pauses rather than lasting reconciliation. From the fragile armistices after 1948 to the more recent efforts under the Abraham Accords, peace will be temporary until:
“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS” (Jeremiah 23:5-6).
Pray and share your thoughts on social media. Let’s be vocal in our support—not arrogantly, but with trust in God. He is our defense.

Verses:
Psalm 122:6 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. 7 Peace be within thy walls, [and] prosperity within thy palaces. 8 For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.”
Genesis 12:3 “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
All of Psalm 91
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”
